FIBERWDM launches a semi-active WDM base station fronthaul solution, delivering a cost-effective option for 4G/5G converged fronthaul.
Adopting a hierarchical architecture with active central office and passive remote ends, this solution is equipped with an integrated management platform and features core capabilities including line protection and fast fault alarm, which ensures stable network operation. It supports multiple networking topologies such as bus-type and star-type, and can flexibly adapt to base station deployment scenarios with limited fiber resources.This solution enables operators to reduce fiber resource investment while balancing network reliability and operation and maintenance (O&M) efficiency.
 

Product Features

 

  1. Architecture: Active devices are deployed on the DU side, while passive multiplexers/demultiplexers are adopted on the AAU side, which balances the requirements of management control and low-cost deployment.
  2. Network Compatibility: Supports multiple topologies including bus, star and direct connection. It is suitable for C-RAN centralized deployment scenarios and can meet the requirements of different site layouts.
  3. WDM Configuration: Core support for CWDM technology, providing standard configurations of 3CH (6WAVES) and 6CH (12WAVES), which matches the mainstream fronthaul capacity requirements.
  4. Flexible Deployment: The central office side supports 1U/2U rack-mount installation, while the remote side supports 1U/3U rack-mount and outdoor box-type installation, adapting to both indoor and outdoor scenarios.
  5. Management & Control Capability: Equipped with OAM management functions, supporting SNMP/WEB/CLI/Telnet protocols, and enabling remote monitoring of alarms and optical power.
  6. Performance Compatibility: Supports mainstream 25G rate and is backward compatible with 10G rate. It is suitable for eCPRI/CPRI services and meets the transmission requirements of 5G fronthaul services.
